With our project, we aimed to improve the digital skills of youth workers working in creative fields, enabling them to work with young people in more effective and up-to-date ways. At the same time, we wanted to improve the overall quality of youth work, develop non-formal education-based digital tools and create a wider impact across Europe by making these tools openly available. In this direction, our main objectives were to strengthen the trainer and facilitator roles of the participants, equip them with innovative digital content and increase the institutional capacity of the participating organizations.
The Digi-CCI project was created by our needs analysis that youth workers in creative sectors struggle to keep up with digital transformation processes. After Covid-19, the effective use of digital tools and technologies in youth work has become a necessity, but many youth workers do not have sufficient knowledge and skills in this field. Therefore, there is a need for an inclusive, innovative and accessible capacity building for youth workers with limited or no digital competences. The project is designed to respond directly to this need.
