The participants were set three goals for the project: strengthening and expanding the competencies of the partner institutions' staff, learning about and presenting the interesting work of individual partners in working with adults, including seniors, and, consequently, preparing new offerings for their audiences on topics related to ecological lifestyles, cultural heritage, and active aging. All institutions also aimed to internationalize their activities and increase their importance in local and international communities. Promotion and presentation of the regions from which the mobility participants came were also important. The planned goals outlined in the application were achieved.
Three partner institutions: the ATEna Association from Poland, the Comune di Gradara from IT, and the NGO from BG, applied through the main coordinator for the project: "Competent Staff for Adult Learners and Seniors," acronym COSTAS. Representatives and members of the above-mentioned institutions wanted to establish international cooperation, get to know each other and their methods, and exchange ideas and experiences. The needs of the participants and institutions were identified and discussed jointly before writing the final version of the application. The identified needs that the project sought to address included: improving the language skills of organization members; improving international project management skills; improving coaching skills, especially in the area of non-professional work with adults, including seniors, and exchanging experiences in this area; and acquiring new knowledge in three selected areas: social inclusion, cultural heritage, and ecology; and internationalization and promotion of the three institutions in the international community.
