Objectives

We aimed to develop the competences of four trainers in the field of mindfulness and active ageing, as well as to increase the level of involvement of 12 senior adults in community life – goals that we successfully achieved. We focused on improving well-being, emotional health, and social cohesion. At the same time, we sought to strengthen intergenerational collaboration and to promote an active and healthy lifestyle among older adults.

Background

The activities were developed to combat social isolation and to promote a healthy and participatory lifestyle, supporting the social inclusion and education of vulnerable adults, especially seniors. The project addressed the need to increase their involvement in community life and to train staff in emotional health and active ageing. International participation provided inspiration and new methods, strengthening European cooperation and the local impact of the organisation.
