Background

We applied for this project because the organizations in the 4 countries wanted to support women in vulnerable situations by developing basic skills, knowledge of rights and social inclusion, through non-formal education and intergenerational exchange, contributing to gender equality and creating more equitable communities, in which every woman has access to real opportunities for personal and professional development. We considered it important to increase self-confidence and correct information about their rights. At the same time, the project offered the opportunity to learn effective educational methods and participate in an international exchange of good practices, in order to increase the impact of activities in the community and promote inclusion. The project responded to the needs identified following consultations with the 4 partner organizations and an applied questionnaire, including interest in effective methods of education and training of adults, especially for vulnerable women at risk of poverty and discrimination, the need to diversify non-formal activities to increase the skills of young women and the need to internationalize education through the exchange of expertise.
