- We aimed to teach how to spend productive time with digital tools such as phones, tablets and computers. - We aimed to prevent obesity caused by spending a long time in a static posture indoors, caused by digital addiction, negative effects such as bad posture and antisociality. - We aimed to improve students' skills in research, communication, creativity, teamwork, digital literacy and critical thinking through cultural heritage products; - We wanted our students to gain awareness about cultural heritage products in national and transnational places. - We wanted them to take an active role in social life by developing their sense of cultural/social belonging; -We aimed to make them recognize firstly the cultural heritage materials around the places they live and the ones secondly in different countries where the paths crossed in the past culturally; - We wanted to make them become aware of their responsabilities in transferring cultural heritage materials to the next generations; - We wanted to develop students and teachers foreign language skills trough cross cultural collaboration and shared activities.
E-twinning projects in which we were involved about cultural heritage in recent years have become our source of motivation. However, the activities about the same issue showed that our students are not aware of cultural heritage materials. We saw that it is a surprising and enjoyable experience for them when they learnt about these materials. Digital addiction comes into prominence as the reason why young people are unaware of the historical and cultural assets around their neighbourhood. It is also a fact that digital addictions cause an increase in obesity, poor postures and antisocial behaviours that increaseed after the Covid-19 pandemic. We wanted our students to move away from these and similar negative situations, take action on an international scale, take an active role in the cultural heritage that excites them, and leave a cultural mark on the future. We needed financial support in order to see the cultural intersections in different geographies in ourown country and in foreign countries and to create new cultural mosaics.
