Objectives

The main objectives were to: 1. increase students’ knowledge of climate change and its local impacts. 2. develop key competences such as critical thinking, communication, and problem-solving to take action. 1. motivate students to take initiative and act for sustainability in their local environment to promote international cooperation and exchange of good practices between participants from different countries, fostering a sense of shared responsibility for addressing climate change.

Background

The project was initiated to improve students’ understanding of the causes and consequences of global climate change and to strengthen their capacity for local action. Partner schools identified a need to raise environmental awareness, promote responsible attitudes, and build competences that enable young people to contribute to sustainable development within their communities. The project involved around 700 students ages 9 to 15, from Poland, Cyprus and Slovenia and more than 25 teachers.
