With the project, we wanted to offer ten young people with complex psychosocial and economic difficulties a unique opportunity through which they could gain valuable experience, step away from their everyday lives, and give themselves a chance to actively and enjoyably explore the EU while strengthening a variety of competences. In this way, through non-formal learning, we contributed to their empowerment, the improvement of their self-image, the overcoming of fears and prejudices, and the discovery and development of their personal potential. The main objectives of the project were: - to enable an interesting and educational trip for young people who would not be able to afford it financially - to strengthen the self-confidence and social skills of young people with more complex psychosocial challenges - to enhance the courage and ability to express themselves in foreign languages - to encourage young people’s curiosity to explore the history, geography, culture, and current challenges of the EU - to learn about and reinforce EU values, active citizenship, and intercultural competences among young people with fewer opportunities - to strengthen the participants’ digital competences through involvement in planning activities, digitally recording their experiences, and creating and sharing digital content with other young people - to promote sustainable travel and environmental care in general.
