Objectives

The project had a multifaceted set of objectives that aimed to achieve various outcomes. Its primary goal was to empower young people to become active and responsible European citizens, who would be engaged in finding solutions to the challenges faced by refugees and internally displaced persons (IDPs). To achieve this, the project aimed to provide tools and opportunities for participation, which would foster understanding and acceptance of refugees and IDPs among young Europeans. The project also searched to facilitate the exchange of ideas and planning of actions for the future through collaboration and networking among participants from different countries. The project created a platform for informal learning and dialogue, which encouraged cross-cultural communication and mutual learning. The mobility component of the project allowed participants from diverse cultural backgrounds to interact and learn from each other, promoting intercultural understanding and improved participants' ability to work in multicultural settings. The project also aimed to enhance participants' language, communication, public speaking, and self-confidence skills, which are valuable in various contexts. Additionally, participants were encouraged to develop critical thinking skills and to identify sources of disinformation targeting refugees, IDPs, and European values. The project aimed to strengthen links and promote the idea of a united Europe based on shared ideals of freedom, equality, solidarity, and social inclusion by fostering collaboration between youth groups from EU and non-EU countries. This was expected to have a positive impact on young people both locally and internationally. The project also aimed to raise awareness about the opportunities offered by the Erasmus+ programme and the European Solidarity Corps, particularly among newcomers and young people with fewer opportunities. The project aimed to empower young people, promote intercultural dialogue, and foster a sense of belonging and solidarity among Europeans, while also providing life-changing opportunities for newcomers and youth with fewer opportunities.
