Objectives

We were aiming to engage 28 diverse youth workers from around Europe and: 1. To introduce yoga philosophy and methodology into European youth work, 2. To deconstruct the out-dated limiting attitudes towards youth work and yoga, 3. To explore, provide, exchange and develop innovative theories and educational approaches that youth workers can use in order to improve their work with marginalized youth that is subject to prejudices, 6. To increase the capacities, motivation and wellbeing of youth workers, 7. To develop sustainable practices that would be spread among youth workers around Europe, and follow-up actions targeting young people that the partners work with that would be implemented in the period of 1 month after the training course. The project was closely linked to the objectives of the Erasmus+ programme and key action, since it fostered quality improvements in youth work, in particular through enhanced cooperation between organisations in the youth field. The project enhanced the international dimension of youth activities and equipped youth workers with competences and methods for their professional development, enabling them to better support youth belonging to marginalized groups. More importantly, the project increased their equal participation, inclusion and wellbeing.
