Objectives

Our project aimed to empower youth workers by enhancing their essential skills in creative branding and event management, enabling them to communicate more effectively with their target audiences and engage with young people in more meaningful ways. The core intention was to equip these youth workers with practical tools to develop strong brand identities for their organizations and to plan, promote and execute successful events that would have lasting impacts on the youth they serve. The primary objectives of our project were three-fold. First, we sought to develop participants' skills in several key areas, including brand development, marketing communication, event planning, hosting, and creative expression. This objective focused on building concrete competencies that youth workers could immediately implement in their daily work. Second, we aimed to foster collaboration and intercultural exchange among youth workers from nine European countries, creating opportunities for them to learn from each other's experiences and best practices in youth work. Through this cross-cultural collaboration, participants gained new perspectives and approaches to common challenges. Third, we worked to create a sustainable network of empowered youth workers better equipped to address the needs of young people in their respective countries and contribute to the overall development of youth work across Europe. Through our two training courses in Bratislava, Slovakia and Szeged, Hungary, we successfully achieved these objectives, employing non-formal education methodologies that encouraged active participation and practical application of learned skills. The project particularly emphasized performance art and poetry slam as effective tools for youth engagement, providing participants with hands-on experience in organizing and executing a performance night event. By focusing on these objectives, we enhanced the quality of youth work practices through peer learning and innovative approaches, ultimately benefiting young people across Europe.
