According to the World Health Organization (WHO), Alzheimer's and dementia have become one of the biggest health problems spreading rapidly worldwide. The WHO states that there are over 50 million Alzheimer's and dementia patients globally, with approximately ten million more added each year. While a cure for these diseases, more commonly known as senility in Turkey, is not currently available, some preventative measures can reduce the risk of developing Alzheimer's and dementia. Even though it's possible to reduce the risk, these measures are not widely known. WHO estimates that the cost of Alzheimer's and dementia to the global economy will exceed $2 trillion in 2022 and beyond. While these diseases, which cause a significant economic cost globally, need to be better understood and known, many countries still view contracting them as 'fate'.
