Objectives

The project aimed to strengthen intercultural dialogue among young people, reduce prejudice, and raise awareness around common European values. In line with this objective, the project intended to bring together young people from different cultural backgrounds, encouraging them to spend time together, engage in joint activities, and experience cultural diversity as a richness. The project set out to take concrete steps to enhance empathy and understanding among youth, particularly in a period marked by growing discrimination, xenophobia, and cultural bias. By enabling participants to explore various dimensions of culture—including arts, food, cultural images, and learning systems—together, the project aimed to present culture in its multifaceted form. Intercultural interaction was supported through both theoretical inputs and practical workshops. The project also aimed to promote active citizenship, teamwork, self-confidence, and communication skills among young people, while raising awareness about Erasmus+ and volunteering programs. Participants were given the opportunity to discuss and compare the forms of prejudice and discrimination present in their own countries, leading to a reflective experience on both individual and societal levels. Non-formal education methods such as drama, brainstorming, and station-based work were used extensively. In addition, to promote environmental awareness, eco-friendly practices were adopted throughout the project. The Sustainable Development Goals were introduced, and waste separation systems were implemented as practical examples. In conclusion, the project aimed to foster empathy, respect, communication, and awareness among youth while contributing to both personal development and social inclusion. Although not all goals were achieved to the ideal extent, most were successfully met, creating a meaningful and relevant learning environment aligned with the project's atmosphere.
