Objectives

The primary objective of this initiative was to cultivate a sustainable comprehension of nature and underscore the significance of ecological politics. To this end, a series of awareness campaigns, debates, and events were organized with the objective of promoting the idea that humans should live in harmony with nature rather than dominate it. The initiative fostered a comprehensive perspective on nature and humanity, challenging the prevailing anthropocentric interpretation of environmental issues. Concurrently, we sought to facilitate the development of sustainability-oriented policies, underscoring the notion that environmental concerns are inherently political in nature. The objective was to integrate environmental awareness with political participation, thereby fostering heightened public engagement in nature conservation and enhancing the efficacy of environmental policy in decision-making processes. In conclusion, the aim of this work is to present an alternative perspective to the traditional understanding that nature is commodified and altered for human interests. The objective is to raise awareness among participants, participating organizations, Sivas local governments, NGOs, and local people about creating a sustainable life model where nature and human co-exist, emphasizing that ecological protection is not only an environmental issue, but also an issue that should be at the center of social, economic, and political decisions.
