Deeply concerned about the risk of a “lost generation” and seeking to understand the complex nature of youth disadvantage better, researchers and government officials have begun to adopt new ways of estimating the prevalence of labour market vulnerability among young people using the concept of NEET: young people between the ages of 15-24 or 15-29 who are not in employment, education or training. Therefore, in this project, in which our target group is the Ordu Gençlik Merkezi (Central Black Sea), Trabzon Gençlik Spor Kulübü Derneği (Eastern Black Sea) and Bolu Gençlik Merkezi (Western Black Sea), we aimed to understand and elaborate on the reflections of current social governance in the Black Sea Region on local and regional youth policy agendas by focusing on NEETs. The project enabled the design of youth policies targeting NEETs by including young people in decision-making processes in the Black Sea Region (West-Central-East) and presented to local authorities.
