Among the main reasons why we want to carry out our project are the resource constraints and rural disadvantages we face as an association operating in a rural region like Malatya. These challenges negatively impact the general well-being and social ties of society. In addition, in a period when traumatic events such as the Kahramanmaraş earthquake occurred, the physical and psychological needs of individuals living in Malatya increased. Especially individuals with special needs have to cope with the traumatic experiences caused by the earthquake and their need for psychosocial support has increased. One of the main goals of our project is to make a positive contribution to the general mental health of the society. It is of great importance to provide psychosocial support to individuals, especially in post-earthquake regions. At the same time, our project aims to strengthen the social bonds of individuals with special needs and encourage their greater inclusion in society. Our project also aims to boost morale and increase self-esteem. Promoting morale and adding value to individuals with special needs will help them cope with life's challenges. In conclusion, the main reasons why we want to carry out this project are our desire to address the challenges in rural areas, our goal of reducing the effects of the earthquake and our responsibility to contribute to the mental health of the community. By realizing this project, we aim to increase the welfare of individuals with special needs living in Malatya and the general society.
