Objective-1: Establishing a sustainable chronic wound care e-learning platform at European Union standards in chronic wound care by sharing experience, knowledge and culture with our project partners Objective-2: To increase the professional skills of professionals working in the field of chronic wound care by 20%
Manisa City Hospital is one of the main referral centers for patients requiring advanced diagnostic and treatment services. Wound care services are provided on an inpatient and outpatient basis by nurses and specialist physicians. Due to the limited availability of wound care certification programs by the Ministry of Health, there were no certified wound care nurses at the hospital prior to the project. Through this project, healthcare professionals gained knowledge and practical experience in innovative wound care methods. At Manisa Celal Bayar University Faculty of Health Sciences, Department of Nursing, the wound and stoma care course was supported with educational modules based on internationally innovative approaches. Healthcare staff working in rural and remote areas under the Manisa Provincial Directorate of Health learned up-to-date, internationally recognized treatment approaches for different wound types, and this knowledge was integrated into in-service training programs. The project helped address the lack of experience of HHK GMBH in managing diverse patient groups and chronic wound types, and improved the knowledge and experience of ASG PFLG through transnational meetings.
