Objectives

Mental health is a growing concern among young people, especially after the COVID-19 pandemic. We wanted to respond to this urgent need by creating a supportive, creative, and intercultural environment where young people could explore and improve their mental well-being. With Embrace Yourself, we aimed to help participants become more aware of their emotions, understand the causes of stress and burnout, and learn how to cope using creative, non-formal methods. Our main goal was to empower young people to take care of their mental health through Expressive Art Therapy and digital tools. We also wanted to open a space for dialogue on emotional struggles that are often overlooked, especially among young people from disadvantaged backgrounds. The objectives of our project were: To raise awareness about mental well-being using non-formal education and creative methods. To improve young people’s emotional and psychological resilience through activities based on Expressive Art Therapy. To create a Virtual Therapy Museum on Metaverse — a digital output that allows participants and the wider public to explore mental health topics in an engaging, interactive way. To encourage intercultural dialogue, mutual understanding, and inclusion by bringing together youth from different backgrounds. By implementing Embrace Yourself, we invested in the mental health of our young generation, recognizing that their well-being today will shape the society of tomorrow. Through art, creativity, and collaboration, we aimed to build a stronger, more empathetic and connected youth community.
