Our project idea have started following the initiative of young people in our association based on the discussion on European Union and great importance on respecting and celebrating diversity as a means of promoting peace and stability. The EU has history of welcoming people from different backgrounds, which contributes to its cultural richness. Discrimination, often fueled by fear and ignorance, led to social exclusion and conflicts. To combat this, a youth project called ARTEMIS was initiated by our members and the partner organizations we agreed. Our project utilized art as a tool to foster dialogue, solidarity, and mutual understanding among young people from diverse cultures. During the mobility we shared a lot of art practices, learn from each other, discussed and involved different activities based on non formal learning and we have planned and performed a flashmob activity in the front of Vienna HBF to draw attention of public to the Erasmus+ program and our project itself. We have worked on a dance and prepared our Choreography and performed it: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1xVohE1JtEGmxWQ2Qs6pRXkvHvaM_Ot_e/view?fbclid=IwY2xjawGfNsVleHRuA2FlbQIxMQABHc1oIA2nteqFsYeDOLDuTK7Yig8JXymRLo5KEK27pAakjIyjG18l_5xdHA_aem_l8GG8D92lFEVRPeI-fhI0Q We have also created a booklet to showcase our practices and experiences: https://www.facebook.com/share/1Z3uejwTha/ Our project aimed to: - Increase young people's awareness of art’s potential for inclusion and self-expression. - Promote cross-cultural understanding and friendship among participants. - Establish connections and reunite young people, youth workers, and organizations through art. - Facilitate the exchange of cultures and artistic expressions, fostering mutual understanding, solidarity, and tolerance. - Encourage participation in Erasmus+ and non-formal education projects. ARTEMIS was structured around non-formal education, aligning with the EU Youth Goals of creating inclusive societies and embracing diversity. Participants organized local cultural events to promote cultural diversity within their communities. The project’s outcomes were shared online to spread these concepts at local, regional, and European levels.
