Through the project "Mindful Media: Shaping Youth Well-Being," we aimed to empower young people with the knowledge, skills, and resources to take better care of their mental health. We wanted to break the stigma around mental health by creating a space where open discussions were encouraged and support was easily accessible. The project provided practical resources like brochures, and local workshop information, while leveraging social media, especially TikTok, to spread awareness that it was okay to struggle and that seeking help was important. We saw media as a powerful tool for shaping perspectives, raising awareness, and reducing stigma around mental health. By portraying mental health issues accurately and compassionately, media could educate young people about recognizing mental health challenges and seeking support. It also demonstrated positive coping strategies, such as stress management techniques. For those with limited access to mental health services, media served as a bridge to vital resources, online support groups, and diverse treatment options. Ultimately, our project aimed to build a community where mental well-being was a priority and where young people felt empowered to care for themselves and support one another. Objectives of the project: - Conduct research and develop campaigns to explore effective ways of supporting those with mental health challenges. - Promote a better understanding of mental health and its key components. - Highlight the benefits of non-formal education, especially outdoor learning, for creating positive change at all levels. - Explore opportunities within the Erasmus+ program, focusing on youth mobility, empowerment, and informal learning. - Introduce European non-formal education projects and raise awareness about YouthPass qualifications.
