What do you want to achieve by implementing the project? What are the achieved goals of our project? Nowadays, it is seen that the mobility of young people and children has decreased and they are almost exclusively dependent on games via computers, mobile phones and technological devices. This situation creates psychological distress, especially for young people and children, and also causes unhealthy physical development. At this point, it is necessary to increase individual and social awareness that children and young people should be directed to a branch of sports and arts in order to support their healthy development. According to research, it is seen that both the psychosocial and biological development of children who engage in sports and artistic activities before starting school is healthier. Growth in children who do sports progresses faster and healthier than their peers who do not do sports. Muscles and joints activated while playing sports such as football, basketball, volleyball and tennis accelerate growth. The cartilage tissue in the joint heads is stimulated by hitting each other during movements and activates physical growth. In addition, during sports, harmful substances in the body are eliminated through sweat, increasing the production of happiness hormones in the body and strengthening the immune system. Therefore, it is seen that doing sports enables individuals to be happier, healthier, more positive and self-confident. By implementing our project within the framework of all these reasons, it is aimed for young people to develop themselves and become useful individuals for society. Thanks to our project, our participants were encouraged to acquire sports habits and adopt a healthy lifestyle. With the activities carried out during our project, we tried to help establish social ties between our participants. In our project, participants from different countries were helped to improve cooperation. Particularly, thanks to our project, our participants were helped to raise awareness that doing sports prevents harmful habits and addictions, increases school success, helps develop personal competencies, positively affects self-confidence and teaches teamwork. By carrying out our project, our participants were helped to understand the benefits of sports and to gain awareness about how sports add value to their lives. They were encouraged to gain the instinct to take responsibility and be disciplined through sports, and it contributed to them gaining awareness that the difficulties encountered in social life can be overcome through sports. In addition, they were enabled to get to know different cultures and were supported to feel themselves as responsible citizens individually and socially. In addition, the main goals of our project are linked to the priorities of the Erasmus Plus Programme. The priority of the Erasmus+ program to support cooperation between sports organisations, health professionals, youth workers and schools was emphasized in the social, cultural, artistic and sports activities carried out during our project. In this way, our participants were encouraged to engage in sports. At the same time, with the priority of the Erasmus+ program to raise awareness about how sports strengthen teamwork, intercultural learning and sense of responsibility, our participants were made aware that sports are used as a tool to meet social needs and protect young people from harmful habits. By taking part in our project, our participants with different cultural values have helped them understand the priority of the Erasmus+ program in combating prejudices and increasing intercultural awareness. In addition, with the priority of the Erasmus+ program to raise awareness of global problems among young people, our participants were helped to voluntarily participate in social life as researchers, creators and individuals who developed their skills. Our participants were encouraged to engage in environmentally friendly behavior throughout the project and were made aware of environmental sustainability. Thanks to the digital studies carried out during our project, our participants were also supported in developing their digital tool usage skills.
