Entrepreneurial learning - entrepreneurship educationScience, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM)Digital skills and competences

Objectives

With the implementation of the project, the goal was to achieve several key results. First, to research and analyze the state of skills, attitudes, and opportunities for promoting social innovations and social business models based on ideas from the natural sciences. This made it possible to identify gaps and development potential among young people and their trainers. Second, the aim was to create knowledge and practical skills for developing new entrepreneurial models that combine social innovations with the principles of sustainable development. A special focus was placed on supporting the digitalization of the learning process, providing young people, including those from vulnerable groups, with access to new educational technologies and resources. In addition, the expertise of nine trainers and consultants from the partner organizations was brought together to jointly develop and apply innovative training methodologies. In this way, the project contributed both to the creation of new approaches in education and to strengthening international partnership and the exchange of good practices.

Background

The idea for the project emerged as a response to the growing vulnerability of young people in Europe, exacerbated by the COVID-19 crisis and the war in Ukraine, which deepened social and economic inequalities. The need for new approaches to support young people, including those from vulnerable groups and remote areas, became particularly urgent. Social entrepreneurship and social innovation, based on STEM sciences and the Sustainable Development Goals, were identified as a possible solution to address climate, social, and economic challenges. The project addressed several key needs: for young people – accessible and practice-oriented tools to develop entrepreneurial skills, combined with academic knowledge and non-formal learning; for teachers and trainers – an integrated program that merges formal and non-formal methods and is adapted to the reality of digital education. Through open educational resources, the project ensured equal access to knowledge, while the involvement of international partners with diverse profiles enabled the exchange of experience, the creation of innovative products, and the support of young people as active citizens and entrepreneurs.
