Objectives

According to the data reported by the EU Youth Strategy, the facts regarding the living standards of young people and the challenges faced by them were determined. Since the EU Youth Strategy is based on various tools such as mutual learning activities, National Action Planners of the Future, etc., it should contribute to young individuals’ learning experience, problem solving, and vision. Organizations in most countries have faced difficulties related to building instant communication with international young people or students. For that reason, such institutions should also serve guest students from other countries together with local youth. This deficiency is not only important in terms of speaking but also in terms of understanding them and their wishes. In light of the aforementioned factors, we planned to organize this training course to answer questions about youth workers’ efforts in building effective and long-lasting communication with young people. At the end of the project, the youth workers ensured that they were able to communicate with the young people even when they did not speak the same language. Throughout the project, we aimed at increasing youth workers’ motivation in terms of carrying out youth activities by including modern teaching techniques and approaches. As well as that, we intended to promote information tools in youth work and to provide multiple perspectives with interactive learning by bringing social, visual, and emotional intelligence to the forefront of teamwork and by gaining the ability to act together, professional development, and experience. Additionally, we aimed at ensuring that youth workers obtained professional benefits by using common modules about how intercultural unity and solidarity were promoted through the project. We intended to foster the important role of youth work in increasing communication among young people and affecting team spirit through its motivational effect. With the comprehensive learning activities, we wanted to make significant contributions to the participants' professional and personal development and self-confidence. Such activities included the use of materials, learning communication techniques, creating common value, cooperation, teamwork, making friends, etc. This project allowed the youth workers to gain experience in youth work at the international level, to observe other cultures and backgrounds by getting together with their peers, and to learn communication methods with young people in different countries. Alongside the anticipated objectives related to the youth workers, we also intended to meet the needs of the participating organizations. In this sense, we planned to determine facilitating methods for communication within the multicultural structure that partner organizations have encountered in their working areas. One of the main aims was to support social inclusion, digital competences, and a green environment through the inclusion of youth workers and sharing their experiences in a multilingual environment. With our initiative, we intended to contribute to the experiences of the participating organizations by sharing the knowledge with which we were successful. This approach could support the service standards of the organizations they worked with to be at European standards. All in all, the primary objectives of the training course were as follows: to incorporate the application areas and forms of youth activities and their positive effects on young individuals. to integrate the types of activities and youth work carried out by the project partners in the field of the project partners into the activities in the youth organizations. to provide the participants with multiple perspectives through interactive learning. to enhance motivation in learning by including modern teaching techniques and approaches and information tools in youth work. to gain the ability to act together and in harmony. to bring social, visual, and emotional intelligence to the concept of teamwork by gaining team spirit.
