The goal of this project was to support youth workers who were just starting their journey in this field. Many of them had little or no experience, but a lot of motivation. We wanted to give them the tools, knowledge, and confidence they needed to grow as professionals and offer better support to young people in their communities. To reach this goal, we designed a training programme that focused on four important topics in youth work: motivation, social inclusion, conflict management, and non-formal education. The aim was to give participants new knowledge, help them practise useful methods, reflect on their work, and feel more confident and prepared for the future. By the end of the project, we had achieved what we planned. Participants became better mentors and facilitators. They learned how to apply new methods in real situations, how to support young people with fewer opportunities, and how to stay calm and professional in challenging situations. Their motivation increased, and they returned home ready to apply what they had learned. They had improved their knowledge in the areas of motivation, social inclusion, non-formal education, and conflict management. They had developed their own toolbox of non-formal methods and felt more confident to lead youth activities in their organisations.
