Through this 12-month project, we successfully tackled the main challenge identified within our six organizations - IEEN, Young Wave, INSIEME, ASK Yourself, VIZIONER, and MTU Jazzon. Recognizing the urgent need to strengthen youth workers’ well-being and boost their effectiveness in daily activities, we designed and implemented targeted actions to address this challenge. We created opportunities for youth workers to explore practical methods, tips, and techniques, while also offering them a safe environment to practice, build resilience, and develop healthy habits. These strategies helped them better manage the common mental health issues they were facing, especially those intensified by the aftermath of the pandemic and the pressures of our increasingly fast-paced world. All implemented actions were based on achieving our 4 objectives, set from the writing and preparation phase of the project: Throughout the 12 months of the project, the youth workers strengthened their understanding of the well-being concept, becoming aware of how essential happiness is for ensuring the quality of youth work. Over the 7-day mobility, participants not only discovered but also successfully applied at least five non-formal methods and happiness-boosting strategies, directly contributing to a healthier and more positive work environment. By the end of the project, the youth workers had significantly enhanced their personal and professional skills, especially in self-confidence, time management, and planning, which led to greater satisfaction, higher effectiveness in their roles, and a more active engagement within their organizations. Thanks to the knowledge and tools acquired during the project, the participants were able to integrate well-being practices into their daily work with young people, using a minimum of five non-formal methods to encourage happiness and support the personal development.
