Objectives

The project aimed to equip youth workers with tools to manage difficult situations and navigate daily life with more calm, clarity and resilience. Specifically, our objectives were to help the participants: - understand what stress is, how it works and what its role is - learn to work with natural stress reactions in a healthy way - release certain types of long-term stress and tension from the body - prevent excessive stress through innovative tools for organizing work and time - enhance digital wellbeing through mindful use of technology - gain evidence-based techniques to bring more calm, clarity and focus - apply these concepts and techniques in their youth work to help youngsters achieve better mental health To ensure measurable impact, we set specific success indicators: (IMPORTANT NOTE: In the application, there is one measurable success indicator (the first one below). Later, we received feedback on our previous project report that more measurable indicators would be appreciated. Therefore, we added a few of them in the currently reported project and we used them to measure the success of the project even though the original application contained only the objectives without specific numeric indicators.) - Target: 20% reduction in participants' stress levels as measured by the Perceived Stress Scale (PSS) between pre-project and one month after - At least 75% of participants reporting increased ability to manage stress (measured through evaluation forms) - At least 75% of participants reporting increased capacity to help young people manage stress - Minimum of 8 follow-up workshops conducted by participants, reaching at least 80 young people total - Creation of a PDF toolkit reaching minimum 100 views To track competency development systematically, we integrated Youthpass throughout the project: - Reflections focused on specific Key Competences - Dedicated Youthpass session in the program to support understanding - Tracking development of the Key Competences (see the learning outcome PDF attached) The achievement of these objectives contributes to improving the quality and impact of youth work practice. As studies show and our own survey confirmed, excessive stress is prevalent among young people and can block them from living healthy and fulfilling lives. This makes it crucial for youth workers to learn methods and techniques to support youngsters in managing stress effectively and maintaining good mental health.
