Objectives

The scope of our project "Vote for you!" was to motivate young people to participate in the vote, expressing their desire to choose and to be chosen as European citizens, actively involved and responsible in the life of their community. Objectives of the project were: • O1: to enrich the knowledge of 48 young people from 8 countries, during the youth exchange, about electors and about the role of the institutions/bodies resulting from the vote; • O2: to facilitate the dialogue of the 48 young people from 8 media for the good voting, participation in the process and their involvement in politics as active European citizens; • O3: to develop the capacity of 48 young people from 8 countries to organize specific local information campaigns to motivate young people to participate in the vote and to be actively involved in the political life of their province and country. The project responds to the following needs: • offering opportunities for use through Erasmus+ projects, especially for young people from disadvantaged backgrounds; • to motivate young people to vote and get involved in the politics of their village and commune; • to evaluate and qualifying the quality of being an active and responsible European citizen; • to provide correct and complete information about the electoral process, about roles and attributions in the institutions/bodies resulting from the vote; •to understand the political system and the importance of the involvement of young people in politics for their future and the communities; • lack of interventions by other organizations for correct information regarding voting and involvement in politics. At the same time, the project wannted to stop the waves of "Euroscepticism" and "fake-news", and we wanted the mobilities to become capable of motivating and involving other young people in the voting process and in life politics, passing on information about the importance of voting at local, national and European level, the role of the European/national Parliament and other bodies resulting from voting, the interconnection between these and institutions/organs and democratic bodies in decision making at European level , national, county and local. Also, we wanted young people to learn more about the Erasmus+ program, about the Youth pass certificate and its use in the process of learning and finding a job.
