Objectives

The main objective of the “My Kind of Place” project was to empower young people by developing their digital skills while simultaneously promoting healthy habits. Recognizing the increasing role of digital technologies in everyday life, the project aimed to ensure that young people not only enhance their digital competences but also maintain a balanced physical, mental, and emotional well-being. One of the key motivations for implementing the project was the realization that while many young people are highly engaged with digital tools, they often lack awareness of how to use them productively. At the same time, modern lifestyles frequently lead to unhealthy habits, including poor nutrition, lack of physical activity, and high levels of stress. By combining these two aspects digital skills and healthy habits the project aimed to foster a more holistic approach to youth development. The specific objectives of the project were: To increase digital competences among young people, making them more comfortable and confident in using digital tools for education, self-expression, and employment opportunities. To promote a healthy lifestyle through interactive workshops on nutrition, physical activity, yoga, and mental well-being, helping participants understand the connection between a balanced life and overall success. To encourage critical thinking about digital consumption, reducing screen addiction and promoting the responsible and creative use of technology. To develop soft skills such as teamwork, leadership, and communication through non-formal education methods like group discussions, presentations, and interactive tasks. To foster intercultural exchange and solidarity, allowing participants from different countries to share their experiences, learn from one another, and gain a deeper understanding of diverse perspectives on digitalization and health. To equip participants with practical tools they can apply in their daily lives, ensuring that they continue practicing what they learned after the youth exchange.
