Objectives

We carried out the project 'ThinkWise: Developed Critical Thinking Skills' because we believe that critical thinking is an essential skill for young people in today's world. Critical thinking skills are necessary for young people to understand and navigate complex issues and make informed decisions. Moreover, we believe this project was needed since critical thinking skills were closely related to mindfulness, as both involved developing a deeper understanding and awareness of oneself and the world around them. The objectives of the project were the following: - to increase the awareness of young people, including those with fewer opportunities, on the importance of critical thinking in personal and professional life. - to provide young people with different critical thinking techniques and methods that they could apply in problem-solving situations. - to encourage young people to apply critical thinking skills in everyday life situations and introduced effective communication techniques in the context of critical thinking. - to explore the connection between critical thinking, mindfulness, and personal growth, empowering young people to incorporate critical thinking and mindfulness into their daily lives. - to promote empathy and understanding of different perspectives to encourage social responsibility and the role of critical thinking in promoting social change. - to encourage young people to work together with peers from different countries and share experiences and lessons learned. - to provide young people with information on the Erasmus+ Programme and its opportunities. To achieve these objectives, we organized various activities during the youth exchange using non formal education methods, including group discussions, interactive workshops, problem-solving exercises, reflection activities, and intercultural learning activities. We also encouraged participants to work on media products related to the project themes, such as videos, blogs, and social media posts. Moreover, it was crucial to involve participants in the dissemination of the project results to ensure that the project has long-term effects. We involved participants in the process of preparing and implementing visibility activities, such as writing posts for websites, blogs, conducting interviews, and creating videos. We encouraged partners and participants to share the project results through their networks, social media, and organization's channels and platforms. We also organized follow-up activities in each country, both online and offline, to present the lessons learned during the youth exchange and promote the practice of critical thinking. We measured the impact of the project through various monitoring and evaluation activities, such as online questionnaires, regular evaluation activities during the youth exchange, and follow-up activities. We also used YouthPass as a reflection tool to evaluate the personal development, skills, and knowledge gained by the participants. Finally, we involved participating organizations in online meetings to measure the impact of the project on their work and encouraged them to include the elements of critical thinking in their work with young people.
