The "Tolerance Champions" project aimed to bring together young people to achieve several social objectives. The primary goals we set out to achieve were as follows: Promoting Tolerance and Intercultural Dialogue: We sought to address pressing social issues within EU countries, such as increased migration, radical nationalism, and hostility toward different cultures. Through sports activities, we aimed to encourage participants to embrace tolerance, diversity, and intercultural dialogue. Throughout the project, we promoted respect for human rights among participants from various European countries. Preventing Radicalization and Xenophobia: In alignment with Erasmus+ program priorities, we focused on preventing marginalization and dangerous radicalization. Through activities centered on social inclusion and collaboration, we demonstrated that young people from different backgrounds could unite harmoniously, thereby fostering a sense of unity despite cultural differences. Encouraging Youth Participation and Social Inclusion through Sports: By using korfball as a tool for social inclusion, we provided mixed-gender team activities that encouraged interaction and teamwork, reinforcing values such as equality, respect, and mutual understanding. Strengthening European Citizenship and Active Participation: We aimed to deepen young people's understanding of European citizenship, encouraging them to engage actively in democratic life and social cohesion. Through intercultural workshops and discussions, participants developed skills and knowledge that contributed to active citizenship and an appreciation of European values. Building the Capacity of Partner Organizations: The project enabled partner organizations to strengthen their expertise in international youth work and establish networks for future projects. Each partner organization gained experience in designing, managing, and evaluating youth exchange programs, thus enhancing their capacity in youth development and intercultural engagement.
