"strings - a connection story" was about creating a safe and welcoming space where participants could reconnect with themselves, the people around them, and the natural world. We wanted to address the challenges young people face today, like feeling disconnected due to too much time online, social isolation, and struggling to build meaningful relationships. Our main goal was to help participants build stronger social and emotional skills through activities like mindfulness, embodiment exercises, and creative tools like non-violent communication and improvisational theater. By focusing on emotional resilience and encouraging genuine connections between individuals and across cultures, we aimed to support personal growth, bring people closer together, and encourage active participation in their communities. We also wanted to inspire conversations about eco-friendly and sustainable lifestyles. Hosting the exchange in a natural setting without digital distractions and providing vegan meals helped participants reflect on their environmental impact. Overall "strings" was designed to support the Erasmus+ goals of inclusion, diversity, and environmental awareness while encouraging meaningful connections and cultural exchange.
