The objectives of the project were to foster leadership qualities in young people, using environmental education as the foundation, and to promote inclusion with creating a welcoming and inclusive environment by engaging youth from diverse socio-economic backgrounds in collaborative activities. The following aspects should be the most important achievements of the project: The strengthening of environmental awareness. Participants should become aware of themselves and their environment through various activities. The aim was to recognise and define the role of the individual in a foreign environment, but also to raise awareness of the sustainable ecological aspect through various activities: Dealing with resources, waste separation, reduction and avoidance with the aim to encourage young people to integrate sustainable and environmentally friendly solutions into their daily routines. The aim was to convey the realisation of having a direct and immediate experience together with other young people in order to make them aware of the non-formal learning effect. This was done offline, without smart devices, to make young people aware of the direct learning in the group and to reduce screen time. The project should inspire participants to carry out similar activities at a local level, equipping emerging leaders with tools to work effectively in their communities. By becoming familiar with an Erasmus+ programme, the young participants should deepen their understanding of the possibilities of this programme, understand European exchange as a new experience and get to know the perspective of lifelong learning in order to plan, implement and get involved in future projects at both local and European level. In this context, opportunities for intercultural dialogue should be identified: Participants express the values of their community while learning about other cultures, traditions and values, fostering mutual respect and understanding. As a direct result, a short video should be created about the impressions of the exchange, emphasising the fun of new experiences and the strength of a committed group. The creation of shared free spaces was also a priority. Young people were to be given the space to discuss topics of their own choice without guidance or an overarching theme in order to encourage direct, self-determined interaction. By including youth with fewer opportunities in all teams, the project aims to improve skills in working with diverse groups, ensuring better support for underprivileged young people also in the local contexts. The creation of Youthpass certificates was a topic of discussion: Participants should document their learning experiences and outcomes using the Youthpass to showcase their achievements to peers and potential stakeholders. In doing so, the young people should learn how important non-formal learning is and at the same time realise where the difficulties arise in such an evaluation of accumulated experience. By involving disadvantaged young people in all teams, the project aims to improve skills in working with different groups and to ensure better support for disadvantaged young people in the local context. The participants and the responsible organisers should be made aware that every individual has strengths and weaknesses, and that through exchange and testing in various activities and workshops, unexpected new strengths can be revealed and developed that may not be recognised in normal local life. The transfer of knowledge should be combined with the learning of new skills by the young people in order to stimulate and bring out new competences in each participant. The main theme of the project was therefore, among other things, to make the young people realise that they are stronger together when they combine different talents and skills of the individuals, that they are stronger as a committed group in a democratic system that includes all people.
