We had several objectives for our "Natural Wonders" project: Foster Environmental Awareness: We wanted to raise awareness among young people about environmental issues, particularly waste management and upcycling. Promote Active Citizenship: We aimed to empower youth to take an active role in their communities by engaging in sustainable environmental practices. Enhance Intercultural Understanding: We wanted to promote cross-cultural understanding and appreciation by facilitating cultural exchanges and interactions among participants from different countries. Develop Key Competencies: Equipping participants with essential skills such as teamwork, problem-solving, creativity, and entrepreneurship through hands-on upcycling projects was important to us. Create an Alumni Network: Establishing a long-lasting network of young environmental champions who would continue to promote sustainability beyond the project's duration was also a goal. Through these objectives, we aimed to empower young people to become environmental advocates, active citizens, and leaders in their communities while fostering cross-cultural understanding and creative problem-solving.
