The project "Inside outside - europe as your home?!" aims to enable young people from the state of Bremen to get politically and socially active and to understand themselves as part of European democratic civil society. Centered around the topic of climate change the participants get to know different forms of political expression to participate within public political debattes. The overall task of the projekt will be to increase the visability of opinions, wishes and ideas of young people surrounding climate change to the public. Through these events the acquired skills can be tried out and internalized immediately by the participants. Thanks to direct contact with political institutions and decisionmakers, reservations about politics and its processes are broken down. This strengthens the European identity and European cohesion of the young generations. The participants get a feeling for different political levels (regional, national, European) and explicitly shed light on the European dimension of climate change policies. By attending movie making workshops to create short films out of the gained knowledge about climate change the participants gain diverse media skills aswell.
