Background

We applied for this project to address the growing issue of digital addiction among youth and the lack of structured resources to support youth workers in this field. Young people increasingly face difficulties in managing their digital lives, affecting their mental well-being, employability, and social integration. Despite being digitally active, many lack the competencies needed to use technology responsibly and effectively. Our aim was to increase awareness of the risks linked to digital misuse and provide youth workers with practical tools to guide young people. Through DigiAddictions, we intended to implement the DigComp framework and develop open educational resources to help youth build digital resilience, self-regulation, and employability skills. The project also responded to the need for international cooperation and knowledge-sharing in the field of digital transformation and youth empowerment.
