By implementing this project, we aimed to promote personal growth and intercultural learning through traditional sports and games. Our primary goal was to help young participants discover the positive impact of sports on personal development. We brought together 56 participants, including group leaders, from eight European countries—Denmark, Serbia, Italy, Romania, North Macedonia, Lithuania, Portugal, and Spain—at the mobility in Hundslund, Denmark, from October 20 to 27, 2024. 32 participants faced challenges such as social, economic, or geographical obstacles. Through this project, we focused on using sports as a tool to foster teamwork, build self-confidence, and enhance interpersonal relationships in an international setting. Objectives: - Provided young people with opportunities to engage in traditional sports and games and learn new skills - Facilitated intercultural learning and understanding through sports and games - Promoted values of equality, inclusivity, and respect for diversity in traditional sports and games - Improved digital skills and encouraged the use of technology to showcase traditional sports and connect with other young people across Europe - Inspired young people to explore their creativity and develop innovative approaches - Developed social and emotional skills such as teamwork, communication, and leadership through participation - Increased awareness about the Erasmus+ program and other European initiatives supporting youth development This project created a platform where young people could engage in non-formal learning, build meaningful connections, and experience personal and cultural enrichment through sports.
