The main overall aim of the project was to raise professional capacities and competencies of direct (participating youth workers, partner organizations) and indirect beneficiaries (other stakeholders across Europe involved in youth work) regarding working with neurodivergent youth. The main need the project addressed was the observed lack of knowledge and understanding of the topic of neurodivergence among youth workers. As experts working with youth are lacking tools to effectively support their neurodivergent beneficiaries, youth with autism spectrum disorder, ADHD, and learning disabilities do not have sufficient access to quality educational offer that is designed to accommodate their specific needs. One of the problems we identified during the need assessment prior to the development of this project was the lack of media representation and safe space for young neurodivergent people to share their life stories and talk about their unique experiences. Digital storytelling, which has been the core method of our project, provides young people with tools and skills to express themselves and to find their voice to talk about their mental health and raise awareness about issues that are important for them. To address this challenge, we have implemented a project that had the following objectives: 1. To promote digital storytelling as a method for supporting neurodivergent youth 2. To raise professional capacities of partner organizations and participating youth workers, equipping them with digital competences enabling them to provide better support for their neurodivergent learners 3. To develop and promote quality educational resources (tool kit on digital storytelling, neurodiversity, and youth work), with a special focus on distributing it among different actors to strengthen cross-sectoral collaboration in the field of youth 4. Do build a sustainable network of partners interested in further collaboration in the field of youth work, digital tools, and enhancing social inclusion across Europe
