Objectives

Lead-Off was an experiential based non-formal learning project focused on the social inclusion of young people, freedom of expression and competences development, especially for those with fewer opportunities. Through this project we were aiming to empower the participants by creating an international community where they can freely express themselves and develop necessary competences and adopt certain attitudes that would support them to be more inclusive, aware of multiculturalism, confident and equipped with skills and positive attitudes that would make them more valuable also in the labor market. Nowadays technical skills are not enough for professions and to keep individuals employed. Young people nowadays need to have skills in effective communication, ability to work in a team and to know how to take initiative. Usually, employers require young people to learn some skills that they cannot acquire during a formal learning process and by creating this mobility we are willing to foster young people's ability to develop those skills and attitudes. The YE addressed also the need for youth social belonging and inclusion and it was done by creating it through community-building activities, aiming to break down barriers between different groups (cultural, geographical, economical, social). Therefore we involved in this project the youngsters who are at risk of social exclusion, those with fewer opportunities facing social obstacles, economic obstacles, educational difficulties, cultural differences and geographical obstacles. We strived to create belonging not only within the groups of participants but also with the local community, with their own country and overall with the European Union. OBJECTIVES: A) To bring together 8 group leaders and 32 young people from 4 European countries to the YE. B) To provide 40 participants with concrete tools that they can use in their personal and professional lives. C) To foster attitudes and mindset of 40 participants, so that they become more motivated and empowered. D) To foster 40 young people's soft skills and provide tools for effective communication, leadership and teamwork. E) To ensure an environment where 40 participants are breaking barriers and stereotypes towards different social groups. F) To create a learning environment where participants can freely and safely express themselves. G) To promote Erasmus+ opportunities for 40 young people. H) To plan and implement at least 4 follow-up activities in each national group after the Youth Exchange in their local communities. I) To encourage 8 partner organisations to broaden their professional network and acquire new tools, methods and practices.
