Objectives

The purpose of this project was to implement the Erasmus+ youth exchange program, bringing together 36 young people from six different countries (Estonia, The Netherlands, Italy, France, Serbia, and Türkiye) to explore the topic of politics from various perspectives. The project focused on achieving four main objectives. The first objective was to facilitate the sharing of experiences related to youth political engagement across different European countries, each with distinct political landscapes. The participating countries were selected to reflect diverse political backgrounds, allowing participants to exchange insights from their home countries in a safe and supportive environment. Each participant was given the opportunity to share their knowledge and experience. The program was structured so that each national team was responsible for organizing one of the sessions, providing an enhanced opportunity to present and discuss their country’s approach to political participation. The second objective was to educate the participants on the importance of active youth involvement in politics. Throughout the project, the topic of youth political participation was a key focus during the sessions. Discussions emphasized the significance of such involvement in modern society. A dedicated session was held specifically on the topic of youth participation and the opportunities available to them. The third objective was to develop an interactive, non-formal workshop suitable for high schools or youth centers, with a focus on political engagement. This workshop aimed to increase political participation among young people and was created collaboratively by the participants, drawing on the new knowledge gained during the sessions. The final version of the workshop was adapted to the context of each participating country, with each national team responsible for organizing it in their home country as part of the project’s dissemination efforts. The fourth and most critical objective of the project was to enhance youth political participation and knowledge across Europe, both at the local and international levels. Throughout the week, participants had the opportunity to explore political topics and learn from one another using non-formal educational methods. The workshop developed during the project was subsequently conducted in six countries, effectively spreading awareness about politics and the importance of political engagement among young people across Europe.
