The project "Harmony in Diversity: Youth for Integration" aims to address an issue in our communities by bringing together young people from various backgrounds to foster understanding and connection. The objective is to help youth better comprehend and appreciate each other's experiences, especially in the context of linguistic and cultural diversity. Our motivation for this project is personal, as some of our team members have faced identity challenges despite being born and raised in Estonia with different from official first language. We recognize that these issues persist among today's youth, including individuals who struggle with identity questions, and youth who may not fully understand these experiences. Through this project, we seek to create a safe space for young people to share their stories and learn from one another, with the ultimate goal of promoting inclusivity and acceptance, regardless of language background. Furthermore, our discussions with partner countries such as Lithuania, Spain, Cyprus, and Turkey have revealed shared challenges related to cultural diversity and regional identity. These countries offer valuable insights into strategies for integration and coexistence, despite their unique circumstances. Our project aspires to facilitate understanding and unity among youth in our communities, drawing inspiration from partner countries' experiences in managing cultural diversity and regional identities. We aim to address identity issues while promoting integration, ultimately contributing to harmonious and inclusive societies.
