The project aimed to equip participants with the necessary skills and knowledge to effectively organize and conduct youth exchanges under the Erasmus program, catering to mixed-ability groups of youth. Its objectives included: - Introducing participants to the concept of youth exchange within the Erasmus program and its significance in youth work. - Familiarizing participants with key concepts such as social inclusion, disability, and post-traumatic syndrome. - Offering practical guidance on developing, organizing, and writing proposals for youth exchanges tailored to mixed-ability groups. - Providing insights into adaptation techniques and methods to address the diverse needs of young people. - Establishing a platform for open dialogue on the challenges faced in organizing mixed-ability youth exchanges across different countries. - Supplying participants with valuable resources to support their ongoing work. During the training, we made sure everyone understood what the Erasmus program is about and how it helps young people exchange ideas and experiences. We worked together to learn all about it, from planning to checking how well it worked. We paid extra attention to including everyone, figuring out which young people could join in and adjusting our plans to fit real-life situations. Our main aim was to help everyone feel confident in organizing future exchanges and doing better in their everyday work with young people. We paid special attention to the methods we used to learn different concepts during the training. We actively discussed with the participants what they found particularly effective and what could be adapted for future use. This was especially important because the participants will be responsible for passing on the knowledge they gained to the youth, enabling them to independently write and implement their own youth exchanges. By focusing on the effectiveness of these methods, we aimed to ensure that the participants are well-equipped to teach and inspire the next generation to successfully engage in similar projects. The project aimed to provide youth workers with an understanding of the Youth Exchange tool so that they could share their thoughts and new skills with the youth they worked with on a daily basis.
