Objectives

Through the implementation of our project, we aim to achieve several critical objectives, particularly within the context of youth work practices: 1. Break Stereotypes of Disabilities: Our overarching goal is to challenge and break down stereotypes and misconceptions surrounding disabilities, especially among teenagers. We want to foster a more empathetic and informed perspective on the challenges faced by individuals with disabilities. 2. Foster Empathy and Understanding: We seek to create an environment where participants, including teenagers without disabilities, can step into the shoes of their peers with disabilities. By directly experiencing the problems and challenges faced by teenagers with disabilities, we aim to cultivate empathy and understanding among all participants. 3. Promote Solidarity and Acceptance: One of our core objectives is to promote a sense of solidarity and acceptance of differences and diversity. We want participants to not only acknowledge these differences but also embrace them as valuable aspects of the human experience. 4. Reduce Fear of Difference: Our project aims to address the fear and discomfort often associated with differences. By providing a safe and supportive platform for participants to engage with different abilities, we aim to reduce fear and encourage positive interactions. 5. Empower Teenagers with Disabilities:** We are dedicated to empowering teenagers with disabilities by providing them with opportunities to facilitate, guide others, and share their unique perspectives. This empowerment is central to our project, as we believe in the value of their voices and contributions. 6. Promote Equal Opportunities, Inclusion and Accessibility: The project aligns with the priorities of the Erasmus+ program by promoting equal opportunities and access for people with disabilities. We aim to create an inclusive environment where everyone, regardless of their abilities, can actively participate and contribute. 7. Involve Disabled Individuals in Decision-Making: Our project stands out for actively involving disabled individuals in the decision-making process. We value their insights and experiences, ensuring that the project is not only about them but also led by them. In essence, our project seeks to bridge the gap in understanding and acceptance between teenagers with disabilities and those without. By promoting empathy, inclusivity, and empowerment, we hope to create a more compassionate and equal society where all individuals are valued and respected, regardless of their abilities.
