The primary aim of our project, Gender Equality Through Theatre And Arts – Youth Exchange, was to challenge and transform traditional gender roles through innovative artistic practices. We sought to empower young people by using forum theater, physical theater, and creative expression as tools to critically engage with and reinterpret established gender stereotypes. Our objectives were to: Foster an inclusive dialogue on gender equality by exploring classical narratives from ancient Greek drama alongside contemporary issues. Empower youth to express themselves, build self-confidence, and develop critical thinking skills through participatory theater activities. Enhance intercultural exchange by bringing together participants and youth trainers from diverse backgrounds, thereby promoting mutual understanding and collaboration. Contribute to the beneficiary organization’s broader strategy by integrating sustainable, inclusive, and innovative methods into youth work and educational practices. Disseminate outcomes and knowledge to both internal and external stakeholders, ensuring that the positive impacts of the project extend well beyond the immediate participants. By achieving these objectives, the project not only benefitted the individual participants but also strengthened our organization’s capacity to implement high-quality, transformative youth projects in line with Erasmus+ and European Solidarity Corps priorities.
