The project aimed to raise awareness and sensitize 28 young change makers on the concepts of self awareness, common values, active citizenship and conflict transformation as a way for active participation in peace-building activities in our communities. The intention was to equip them with competences in emotional intelligence, non violent communication, conflict transformation and project planning. We wanted to encourage them to be active citizens and multipliers of the democratic values in their respective communities.With this training we aimed to shed some light on the complexity of oneself and the community but also give tools for regulation and resilience building to encourage and support the active peaceful engagement of young people in the commons of their community. The specific objectives were: -To build participants' understanding and embodiment of the definitions and equip them with tools of self-awareness through Active citizenship and vice versa. -To give tools for understanding the multidimensional contemporary reality, knowledge to recognize the phenomena but also how these concepts were connected to each other and affected the way we participate in our communities as active citizens. -To create a space and a hub for healthy networking and sustainable cooperation to stay connected after the TC was over. -To develop at least 6 follow-up workshops by participants with the support of the team to act as multipliers in their local communities. -To enable young people to be architects of their own lives, support their personal development and growth to autonomy, build their resilience and equip them with life skills to cope with a changing world. Finally, to encourage and equip young people with the necessary resources to become active citizens, agents of solidarity and positive change inspired by EU values and a European identity and influence EU youth policy making.
