Objectives

The main purpose of the "Youth Exchange 'Contemporary Connection between Circus and Land Art'" project was to promote cultural knowledge and offer participants various possibilities for their professional and personal development. The intention was for young people to become aware of the options that they had to develop their professional lives and expand their knowledge in communication and expression. During the ten-day exchange of experiences, a key objective was established: Promote the integration of these young people within active European youth. Furthermore, the project focused on diversity as a characteristic feature of contemporary societies, and addressed the challenges that this poses for life in democracy. It promoted respect and intercultural dialogue, equality, human rights and the values of Europeanism, in order to prevent prejudices and discriminatory attitudes, and promote inclusion and social cohesion. Other specific objectives included promoting social and intercultural knowledge among participants from different countries, generating values of respect, trust and solidarity with people from another culture, and rejecting any intolerant attitude towards vulnerable groups, promoting positive attitudes in the population and young participants. It also sought to raise awareness about the barriers that young people face, strengthen their autonomy and self-confidence, and share new artistic and circus techniques. In addition, there was an emphasis on alternative leisure activities that taught the historical and cultural values of Campo Arañuelo, providing young people with useful tools for the workplace. The aim was for young people to explore and develop concepts from inclusion and acceptance, making the most of the experience. The project sought at all times to be an experience rich in learning and values, promoting social integration, respect for diversity, and the development of professional and personal skills, through art and cultural exchange.
