The genesis of this project stems from a profound concern: the imperative need to comprehensively assess the progress in recognizing and validating competences acquired outside formal education. The recommendation 2012/C 398/01 of the Council of the European Union cast a clarion call to Member States to formulate strategic frameworks in this realm. With this directive at the forefront, a meticulous examination of the intricacies surrounding recognition was undertaken. It emerged that while there may have been significant strides at a political level, the sphere of Non-Formal Education faced a substantial lacuna – the lack of recognition both from its beneficiaries and the broader fabric of society. This constituency spans not only the employers and formal education providers but the entire societal tapestry. Our approach is anchored in the development of an avant-garde methodology. This innovation revolves around equipping peer-to-peer educators and stalwarts of Non-Formal Education, post an intensive training regimen, to assume the mantle of "GreenGen: Pioneers for Sustainable, Creative Non-Formal Learning". This distinctive approach aims to bridge the gap between the theoretical understanding and practical application of Non-Formal Education. Furthermore, the project endeavors to foster collaboration across various strata of society, embracing a multi-dimensional and multi-sectoral perspective. Organizations that specialize in Non-Formal Education often grapple with the task of elucidating the concept not only to the young minds they engage but also to institutions and private enterprises. Similarly challenging is the establishment of enduring partnerships with universities and high schools to implement supplementary programs that are instrumental in nurturing the personal and professional growth of these young individuals. Our project emerges as the beacon to address these pressing needs. It endeavors to serve as the conduit that not only clarifies the essence of Non-Formal Education but also streamlines its integration into the broader education landscape. However, the scope of this initiative isn't confined to merely academic pursuits. It extends its embrace to the youth who might find themselves at a crossroads, grappling with a perceived setback in their formal education journey. In these instances, our initiative serves as a compass, guiding them to unearth and appreciate the competences they may have acquired outside the confines of conventional education. It empowers them, offering viable alternatives, including the prospect of completing their formal education. In every stride, our approach aligns seamlessly with the policies set forth by the European Union, particularly those dedicated to the realm of Non Formal Learning. It draws inspiration from the valuable insights gleaned from the Vth cycle of Structured Dialogue, infusing the project with a wealth of practical wisdom and strategic direction. To achieve this, our ambition is not limited to the confines of peer-to-peer education alone. Instead, we aspire to engage all pertinent stakeholders in a dialogue on the critical issue of recognizing and validating Non Formal Education. This collaborative endeavor is envisioned to forge robust local and regional networks, instrumental in propelling progress in this direction. Objectives are: 1. Promote Learning Mobility and Cooperation: Our project aims to facilitate the mobility of groups, fostering cooperation among diverse stakeholders in the realm of non-formal education. 2. Enhance Quality and Inclusion: Central to our initiative is the commitment to elevate the quality of non-formal education. 3.
