The "I Am Part of My Community" project emerges in response to the need for inclusion and opportunities for young people, especially immigrants and refugees, in the province of Albacete, where there is a low density of young population and a shortage of initiatives aimed at this group. The project is driven by the desire to address critical concerns and meet pressing needs in the community, with a focus on intercultural mediation to make a significant contribution to society. A lack of opportunities and existing disparities have been observed and analyzed, with a commitment to fostering a sense of belonging and inclusion among vulnerable youth. The project aligns with the principles of inclusion and diversity promulgated by international organizations committed to human rights and equity. "I Am Part of My Community" not only seeks to integrate young people but also aims to turn them into active and participative agents in their communities, promoting understanding and mutual respect among youth from different backgrounds and cultures. To achieve this, specific objectives are outlined that support and deepen the impact of the main goal, preparing participants in intercultural mediation techniques, raising awareness about the barriers and challenges faced by immigrants and refugees, and promoting social inclusion. In tune with the objectives of Erasmus+, the project supports the comprehensive development of young people and encourages intercultural mediation as a tool for inclusion and social cohesion. It involves various entities and international collaborators who bring unique and valuable perspectives to achieve a common goal: a more inclusive and integrative society for all.
