Objectives

Through this youth exchange titled "Fight the TViolence" the aim was to promote a more egalitarian view of society by fostering gender equality and questioning the messages traditionally conveyed through various audiovisual media today. The project also sought to highlight how gender stereotypes, the representation of women, and the normalization of violence in certain scenes from movies, series, or even in advertising and media, hinder progress toward a more equitable society. Additionally, it aimed to generate critical reflection on the type of content circulating on social media, which often does not offer a healthy image of the female body nor encourages ethical and responsible use of these platforms to build a more egalitarian society. The main objectives of this project were: -Raise awareness among youth about responsible, critical, and analytical audiovisual consumption. -Promote healthy and positive use of the internet and social media. -Develop a critical attitude regarding the representation of women in traditional and current media. -Learn to detect types of gender-based violence present in the audiovisual products we consume and reflect upon them. -Reflect on and explore existing tools to identify when there is stereotypical representation, to avoid perpetuating it. -Generate our own tools and measures to combat gender-based violence and stereotypes in the media. -Empower youth to be the ones who change gender roles and build a more egalitarian world. -Promote critical awareness of gender discrimination and inequality that the media constantly reproduce. -Share good practices on the representation of women in the media. -Create our own tools and content in favor of healthy representation and gender equality. -Promote intercultural debate in favor of equality and inclusion. -Promote the values of the European Union and raise awareness about the Erasmus+ program and its opportunities among youth.
