Objectives

The Majadas Town Hall is a local public body that offers services to all groups that form part of its community, with the intention of giving an effective response to the demands made especially by the youth of our municipality. It is necessary to offer young people the means with which they can acquire values, personal and professional growth, provide them with information about issues in which they are involved, compensate for deficiencies and neutralize the negative stimuli that are generated in them. Actions directed towards the youth group are necessary elements, in order to offer young people a space where they can spend their free time, while offering them a place for meeting, non-formal education and relationships. Through this project, our organization intends to awaken the critical and supportive conscience of young people, in addition to breaking stereotypes and prejudices that they have towards other cultures. We intend for them to participate in an awareness process that leads them to seek real solutions, based on a dynamic process, through the realization of stable integration activities. Our organisation is very keen to provide opportunities for young people to lead a healthy life, away from things that can have negative influences on them, such as alcohol and drugs, as well as giving them the opportunity to feel much closer to Europe, breaking stereotypes and prejudices. Youth exchanges are very necessary so that young people in our town can have some educational, cultural and formative activity, since they do not have the same opportunities as those young people who live in larger towns, because they do not have sufficient economic means to access them. With the implementation of the "Climate Europe Hero" Youth Exchange project, we have worked with new technologies to combat climate change, making them aware of the work we must do to take care of the environment. The objectives set out in our project have been: General Objective - Support the educational, social and personal learning of the participating young people, contributing to personal growth, social cohesion, as well as promoting innovation, strengthening European identity and active citizenship. Specific Objectives - Promote mobility in non-formal and informal learning and active participation among young people, as well as cooperation, quality, inclusion, creativity and innovation. - Improve the level of key skills and competences of young people, including those with fewer opportunities, and promote participation in democratic life in Europe, active citizenship, intercultural dialogue, social inclusion and solidarity, in particular by providing young people with opportunities for mobility for learning purposes. - Raise awareness among the participating young people about the need to change habits and customs to contribute to an improvement of the environment. - Apply, create and innovate in technological tools to raise awareness of climate change. These objectives and priorities of our project have been linked to the objectives of the programme, complying with the values of the Erasmus+ programme. We have never forgotten what the objectives and priorities of the programme were, always framing our project within them. The world is changing and young people are the future of that world. We wanted to work in a fun way on European citizenship, equality, empathy, respect, qualities and new technologies focused on caring for the environment. Given the current situation, now more than ever we need to work on these values that are so important for Europe and the world.
