Objectives

Europe's history takes place through the multiculturalism of the people who inhabit it, and not only its history, but also its future. European society today is richer in diversity than in past centuries. It is a population in continuous change and in continuous processes of acceptance and social progress. Art has always had a romantic relationship with plurality, recognizing the needs and sensibilities of European youth. From literary works that crossed borders challenging the social and sexual taboos of each era to paintings that portrayed the reality of the poorest, of disadvantaged groups, or of war victims. Art is one of the expressive ways to challenge the established, to unify the voices of new generations and to make visible what remains in the shadows. On many occasions, these approaches in the form of artistic styles were influenced by the different cultural identities and crossed borders, formed bridges, and raised from the human sensibility a vision of the present and the future of Europe. Through the recognition of emotions, and thus of individual reality, art becomes an important social tool, creating a line of communication between the senses and the intellect. Art fosters capacities such as empathy and contemplation, vital in the development of skills such as listening and learning. In terms of communication or education, creativity acquires an incalculable value, being also one of the pillars of art, and one of the most commendable talents of young people. Psychological well-being also finds in art a natural medicine, contributing to be an engine of inner peace, hope, illusion and happiness, acquiring great importance in the consolidation of a healthy relationship with the environment and with oneself. Art has historically been a tool to face and solve psychological conflicts. Hence the development of artistic therapies based on self-knowledge and the sublimation of internal tensions, which are transformed with an expressive purpose towards a social functionality. The present project seeks to vindicate the value of oneself through art, creating a framework for expression in pursuit of the recognition of diversity and working for the consolidation of a flexible, open society in harmony with its own plurality. 1) To promote social cohesion through creative expression and the communication of ideas. 2) To promote empathy, understanding and recognition of human diversity, through its multiple cultural and artistic manifestations. 3) To encourage introspection as a tool for psychological well-being and artistic expression, consolidating a healthy relationship with oneself, based on self-knowledge and self-acceptance. 4) To promote self-confidence through artistic motivation and the establishment of personal goals. 5) To promote the incursion of the new generations in the struggle for social change and the progress of European society as a whole. 6) To encourage the acquisition of digital skills in creative expression, communication and consolidation of networks for social action. 7) To promote democratic principles, cooperation between communities, the value of equality, freedom and recognition of plurality. 8) Encourage young people to acquire sustainable habits with the environment as an essential part of the evolution in the relationship with the environment, and collective development.
