The implementation of Creating Europe has focused on offering a space for reflection and learning so young people from different European countries have the opportunity to improve their immediate environment, with decision-making and strategy planning, but also the ability to develop skills which help promote greater participatory democracy and improve the position of social activism in Europe. Through this project, we have sought to implement various methodologies and tools which promote a dialogue focused on understanding the system in which they live and the contexts to which they belong. This has allowed us to create deeper spaces for reflection, where different future scenarios can be developed collaboratively, both for their local communities and for the European Union. One of the objectives of this initiative is for participants and their environment to recognize their ability to contribute and generate recommendations or proposals for the future of Europe, based on their ideas and visions, supported by relevant information and reliable mechanisms. The main aim of Creating Europe has been to motivate young people to feel more interested in actively participating in the European Union, as well as to promote dialogue, reflection and cooperation on the future of Europe between young people from different cultures and countries. We have also wanted to help young people develop essential skills for leadership and active citizenship. Based on their ideas and visions, we will generate recommendations and proposals for the future of Europe, while promoting citizen participation and the commitment of young people to the future of the continent. The main objectives of this project have been: - Promoting Citizen Participation: This has been one of the key objectives since increasing the active participation of young people in democratic processes will help us promote the importance of their voice in decision-making; - Skills Development: Training participants in leadership, communication and teamwork skills, essential for social activism and strategic planning; - Networking: Establishing connections between young people from different countries to share experiences and good practices in participatory democracy and activism; - Strategy Development: Developing a set of strategies and tools which participants can use, in the future, in their communities to encourage participation and civic engagement; - Action Projects: Implementing concrete projects in local communities which reflect the learnings of the program, such as awareness campaigns or discussion forums; - Evaluation and Reflection: Creating a space for evaluating the results of the project and reflecting on the impact on the community and participants; - Dissemination of Results: Sharing the results and learnings of the project through digital platforms, events and publications, to inspire others to get involved in participatory democracy.
